Assist with planning, adapting and scheduling age appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate children’s cognitive skills, abilities and development.
Provides continuous supervision to children enrolled
Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure health and safety standards are followed
Maintain Center, rooms and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition; sets up rooms and areas for various activities such as meal times, naps, games, etc.
Records daily observations of children’s behavior and activities; monitors behavioral patterns and completes developmental child assessments and adapts the learning environment to meet the needs of all individual children profiles
Schedules parent conferences to discuss children’s development and concerns; works with master teacher and family to devise learning and development strategies as necessary
Maintains accurate attendance and enrollment records, maintains appropriate confidential records.
Monitor children for signs of child abuse and reports incidents of suspected abuse to appropriate authorities
Maintains current knowledge of child development and best practices in the classroom.
24 Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development (CD) units. AA degree in ECE or related field preferred
Current (or in progress) Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
One-year teaching experience
CPR / First Aid certification (or in progress)
Knowledge of child development and ability to implement age appropriate curriculum and activities
Live Scan background check and finger print clearance
