Growing from basic community support\, Rose’s tireless efforts expanded services into a comprehensive safety net that helps clients navigate their path to financial\, physical\, and mental wellbeing. Recognized for her many contributions to the community\, Rose Padilla Johnson is the recipient of the Community Impact Lab Award and was named the 2015 Woman of the Year in the 18th Assembly District. \n  \nPlease join us at this special event to honor Rose and raise funds for Davis Street’s future providing critically needed services to our community and beyond. Only with your support can we meet the growing needs of families and individuals struggling with the unique challenges of today. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Signups are CLOSED for this year's Holiday Basket Giveaway.  \n  \nJoin us for our most joyful event of the year: the annual Holiday Basket Program. \nEach year\, we provide 1\,200 low-income families and seniors with a holiday meal and other gifts to support holiday cheer. \nThe two-day event will be held at on the Teagarden Campus\, with distribution occurring on 12/22 from 8am-11am and 12/23 from 8am-1pm.

SUMMARY:Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
DESCRIPTION:Please join us in supporting the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual\, one-day food drive on Saturday\, May 13\, 2023. \nStamp Out Hunger Food Drive participants may leave their donations of non-perishable food items in bags\, next to their mailbox\, before their Saturday mail delivery times. Letter carriers will collect the goodies while on their postal routes. \nAll donated food will stay in our local community and distributed to local food banks\, pantries\, shelters and churches.  Davis Street’s Food Pantry has been a long-time recipient of your generosity. \nSuggested food items to be donated are:  canned soup\, canned vegetables\, canned meats and fish\, pasta\, rice and cereal – foods with a longer shelf-life.
