DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join Davis Street\, San Leandro\, and communities beyond to celebrate the legacy and impact of Rose Padilla Johnson in recognition of her retirement after 32 ½ years leading Davis Street Community Center. Wednesday\, April 11th\, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. \n  \nSince 1991\, when Davis street was still housed in the San Leandro First Christian Church\, Rose has dedicated her life to guiding families and individuals out of poverty\, improving their quality of life. Growing from basic community support\, Rose’s tireless efforts expanded services into a comprehensive safety net that helps clients navigate their path to financial\, physical\, and mental wellbeing. Recognized for her many contributions to the community\, Rose Padilla Johnson is the recipient of the Community Impact Lab Award and was named the 2015 Woman of the Year in the 18th Assembly District. \n  \nPlease join us at this special event to honor Rose and raise funds for Davis Street’s future providing critically needed services to our community and beyond. Only with your support can we meet the growing needs of families and individuals struggling with the unique challenges of today. \n  \n
