We’re thrilled to share the exciting news about the 9th Annual Health Fair hosted by Davis Street Community Center on 八月 12th, 2023. The event was an incredible success, with over 1,200 attendees joining in the festivities. We were overjoyed to see so many smiling faces, and we wanted to give you all a glimpse of the wonderful day we had!

Backpacks, Shoes, and Bicycles, Oh My!

One of the highlights of the day was the distribution of 500 backpacks filled with school supplies and snazzy Nike shoes for the kids. We believe that every child should start their school year off on the right foot, and thanks to your support, we were able to make this happen. But the excitement didn’t stop there! Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, we held a raffle and gave away three brand-new bicycles to some very lucky winners.

A World of Resources in One Place

The Health Fair wasn’t just about backpacks and bicycles—it was a hub of information and support for everyone in the community. More than 30 community resource booths were set up, offering a wealth of information on services available to you. From health services and education programs to organizations focused on making our community stronger, we had it all covered.

A Special Thank You

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this event possible. Alameda County Fire Local 55 provided delicious lunches to keep us fueled, and the participation of various organizations, like the Alameda County Fire Department, Alzheimer’s Association, and many more, truly showcased the power of unity within our community.
