Kristal Gonzalez, the Basic Needs Assistant Manager, says that the Basic Needs program is firing on all cylinders. This program continues to be impacted by the increasing cost of living in the Bay Area. More and more families must supplement their grocery needs with the support of our Pantry, and we are always here to help.
The Basic Needs program also supports families with their child’s back-to-school needs.
The Backpack and Shoe Giveaway Program needs your help. We need your donations more than ever. You can drop off school supplies and new shoes at our Teagarden Street campus during regular business hours.
If your family is interested in receiving a backpack filled with goodies, you must sign up, in person, at the Basic Needs Office (back of the building), Martes – Viernes, 10 am – 2 pm, Julio 5 – Julio 21, 2023. The earlier you sign up, the better!
You will need to bring in the following documentation to become eligible for the Giveaway:
Proof of Address (PG&E bill, water bill, or any other utility bill within the last 30 days)
Proof of Children (Birth certificate, medical card, or immunization records)
Household Income: (ALL household income within the last 30 days – Not counting income tax refunds).
