Job Description
The Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical duties under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Staff Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. Clinical duties including patient triage, data collection and recording, administration of vaccines and medications, medical records keeping, limited patient education, labeling and collecting laboratory.
The schedule is onsite Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Responsible for greeting and rooming patients, prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, and keeping rooms neat and clean before and after appointments
- Prepare patients for treatment, take medical history, medication reconciliation, vital signs and perform required testing.
- Perform clinical duties including patient triage, data collection and recording, administration of vaccines and medications, medical records keeping, patient education, labeling and transporting laboratory specimens.
- Perform ancillary testing and tasks including EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws, etc.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
- Assist with quality checks and assist with special projects as needed
- Effective communication with Patients, Medical Providers and other Administrative staff members
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Prior Medical Assistant Experience preferred
- Current CPR / BLS certification
- Experience in Microsoft Office and EMR

$26-$28 per hour
