Emergency Transportation Assistance Program
About the Emergency Transportation Assistance Program
Davis Street offers emergency transportation assistance for seniors 55 years and older living in Alameda County who need a ride for a medical appointment, to obtain emergency food (such as a ride to our Food Pantry), or for child care. To access this service, you must already be a Davis Street client, or be referred to us by a community agency.
Depending on the situation, we may provide emergency transportation assistance in the form of a gas card, Clipper card, AC transit one-way ticket, or an Uber ride. We can offer this program for as long as funds from supporting agencies are available to us. Our emergency transportation assistance is free of charge.
Who is eligible?
Someone who is part of a Davis Street program in need of emergency transportation, or someone who is referred to us from a community agency can use this program. You must live in Alameda County. Our emergency transportation assistance is free.
