Annual Gala
Our Annual Gala raises critically needed funds to support all of our safety-net-services. Your support to this event ensures that Davis Street can continue to provide the needed services to help keep our families afloat.
The annual developmental disabilities fashion show raises funds to support Davis Street's Disabilities Program. The event highlights the efforts of the artisits showcasing mosaics, clothing and jewlry.
Every summer, Davis Street helps students kindergarten through 12th grade get ready for school with brand new tennis shoes and new backpacks filled with school supplies.
Davis Street hosts an annual health fair for everyone in the community. Our health fair highlights all Davis Street services, as well as the services of 25 local community organizations.
Providing a full Holiday Dinner, along with gifts for every child, for 1000 local families who are clients of Davis Street. This program is available free of charge on a first sign-up basis to families in San Leandro and the Eden area.
Throughout the year, we sponsor employee events that include the entire family, such as: our annual Holiday party, Holiday decoration contest, Halloween costume contest, pumpkin carving party, raffles and games.
During the holidays, Davis Street works with other organizations to provide new bikes and helmets for children 3 to 12-years-old. *This program is temporarily closed due to COVID-19*
Past events included a free fresh produce giveaway, clinic tours, blood pressure checks, bike raffles, dental screenings, children’s activity area, games, face painting, music, and complimentary lunch.
The support of Nike and the community is important to ensuring that a kid goes back to school with shoes that inspire the kids to “Just Do It” with a positive attitude to begin the school year.
