Davis Street's services would not be able to function without the help of our donors, community members, volunteers, and staff members.

Your help serves thousands of families in need.

You can help make it possible for Davis Street to serve thousands of families and individuals in need who live in our community by becoming a community sponsor or partner for our programs. Each year, Davis Street Food Pantry supplies food to over 12,000 households, serves over 16,000 individuals, and receives over 180,000 lbs. of food. Our food pantry is made possible with donations from the Alameda County Food Bank, local individuals, farmers, businesses and grocery stores. You can donate unopened, non-perishable food items.

New or gently used clothing, household items, new toys, used vehicles and medical supplies – these types of donations enable Davis Street to help thousands in need in our community.

All items must be sanitized for the safety of our vulnerable families and for our staff.

Volunteering as a group can be a valuable and memorable team-building experience for a business or organization. Groups have helped us sort through thousands of pounds of food for the US Post Office Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive and helped us sort toys, and distribute food for our Holiday Basket Program. There are many ways to make a difference at Davis Street.

Davis Street holds special events and fundraisers throughout the year, including our Annual Gala. We are always seeking community sponsors for our events.

From blankets and coats to food, toys, school supplies and backpacks, Davis Street is fortunate to have corporate groups and organizations who want to get involved by creating a collection drive in their office. Please call (510) 347-4620, extension 150.

Every year, Davis Street provides a full Holiday family-sized dinner, along with gifts for every child, for 1000 local families. We invite you to become one of our partners by collecting brand new toys, food and gift-cards. Bikes for Tykes provides thousands of low-income children new bicycles and helmets. Davis Street hosts an annual health fair for everyone in the community. Our health fair includes Davis Street services, as well as 25+ other local health and service organizations. Everything is free of charge. If you are a community organization and would like to participate, please sign up here.
