Subsidized Child Care
Do you need help paying for child care?
Davis Street offers an alternative payment program that is a parental choice program. You may be eligible to receive subsidized child care based on your family size, income and need. This is a parental choice program and allows you to choose from a variety of child care settings including, licensed centers, family day care homes and unlicensed providers.
Ages of children: 0 to 13 years old.
Areas we serve: San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Ashland, Cherryland, Berkeley and Albany.
We offer programs such as: Parental choice voucher-based child care: Alternative Payment Program (APP) , CalWORKs Stage 2 (C2AP), CalWORKs Stage 3 (C3AP).
Other child care programs: General Child Care and Development (CCTR), California State Preschool Program (CSPP).

Getting to Davis Street
We are served by Stop #4 on the South Loop San Leandro LINKS, free shuttle route. If you drive, we have ample free onsite parking.
How to apply:

Fill out our eligibility application online.
Be aware that there are many applicants for state-subsidized child care, and not all families can receive assistance. We will call you, if you are eligible to receive new state funding that becomes available.

Your application will be valid for six months. If there has been a significant change in your employment or family status, such as: you have changed jobs, you have married or divorced, you have a new child, etc., you need to call us at: (510) 347-4620 to let us know, since that may affect your eligibility for assistance. Please do not fill out a new application.
