Job Description

The HR Assistant performs a variety of administrative tasks in the Human Resources Department. The Administrative Assistant maintains strict confidentiality, work as a flexible HR team member and provides excellent customer service in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support services for the HR department and Davis Street employees. Respond to questions while adhering to confidentiality standards and HR policies.
  • Maintain HRIS platform, process new hires, PAF changes, benefits, COBRA, billing audits, exits, etc.
  • Process new hires, including employment letters, background/reference checks, credentialing tasks and document collection.
  • Create and maintain personnel files and employee records.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and materials, obtain new network accounts, and participate in assigned sections.
  • Track and process intro and focal evaluations, and process salary changes as necessary.
  • Track and collect employee requirements (licensed, CDL, etc.), DMV updates and trainings to ensure timely completion and program compliance.
  • Coordinate annual CPR/First Aid trainings for designated programs.
  • Update and maintain HR workflows and forms and ensure HR and Shared e-folders are up to date.
  • Update and maintain agency phone and email directory
  • Assist with employee recognition programs.
  • Create and maintain reports, metrics, charts and graphs.
  • Perform employment verifications.
  • Maintain HR bulletin board and legal postings.
  • Assist with misc. projects, audits and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2 years administrative experience; experience in an HR setting helpful
  • Strong administrative and database skills
  • Experience creating presentation materials, charts and graphs
  • Strong computer skills using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Zoom/Teams
  • Positive attitude with excellent communication (verbal & written) and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks with timeliness and attention to detail
