September 27, 2017; San Leandro, California: Thursday, September 27th, Stepping Stones Growth Center and Davis Street Family Resource Center hosted their 1st Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser. The event was held at the Fairview Metropolitan in Oakland, California.
The event was attended by nearly 100 individuals who gathered in support of Davis Street and Stepping Stones as well as the programs that Stepping Stones provides to the community. The fashion show, art auction, and art sale featured items designed and created by Stepping Stones clients that raised more than $20,000 to support Stepping Stones’ programs, including Artful Steps, Independent Living Services, Hire Steps, and Steps towards Wellness.

About Stepping Stones and Davis Street
Stepping Stones Growth Center is a not for profit social services agency founded in 1975 by concerned parents of children with special needs. They provide a continuum of programs and services to more than 400 adults and children with a developmental disability and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Davis Street. Davis Street serves more than 15,000 individuals annually and helps low-income families of the Eden area and surrounding communities to improve their quality of life through short and long-term assistance. Today, Davis Street is a comprehensive safety net that assists clients to navigate their journey in financial, physical, and mental well-being. Davis Street programs include a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Primary Care Clinic providing medical, dental and behavioral health services; food and clothing; subsidized child care; housing and utility assistance and referrals; and five childcare centers.
