Job Description

The Associate is a full-time member of the Development Team. This role involves a mix of database management, reporting, assisting with events and fundraising efforts and providing administrative support to the Development Director. Requires attention to detail, strong computer and organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the Development team. The candidate should also exhibit the flexibility to work varying hours, including occasional weekends and evenings, as necessary to support fundraising and community events.

Responsibilities

  • Create new constituent records, update contact information, and manage donor-related documents by maintaining notes, uploading proposals, and ensuring effective document management.
  • Support fundraising and stewardship events.
  • Coordinate and participate in outreach, engagement and marketing events.
  • Diligently enter all gifts and pledges into the database along with and accurate generation of acknowledgement letters.
  • Create flyers, communications, and presentation materials.
  • Run basic queries, lists, gift, donor profiles, and action reports to support fundraising efforts.
  • Execute an annual calendar of data maintenance tasks.
  • Produce reports to track appeals, development goals, and return on investment by creating management reports and fundraising progress reports as requested by the Development Officer.
  • Assist in prospect research and ensure information is added to constituent file(s) for existing and prospective donors.
  • Support Board Fundraising Committee meetings by coordinating materials and taking minutes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience performing administrative and database responsibilities. Experience using Raiser’s Edge or other database software helpful.
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Zoom and internet research.
  • Experience with community events helpful.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of thoroughness, accuracy and detail.
  • High level of multitasking ability. Self-motivated with creative and efficient use of time and resources in planning and managing various responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekend, evenings as necessary to support fundraising events.
