Davis Street provides a variety of ways for volunteers to help families in need. By volunteering at Davis Street, you will enrich your life, while strengthening the fabric of our community. We want your volunteer time to be both personally rewarding and convenient for your schedule.

Following are some of our volunteer opportunities:

Food pantry assistance

You can help out in the warehouse packing food boxes or at Davis Street packing grocery bags for local families in need, ensuring they have food on the table.

Special programs and events

Davis Street hosts various special programs and fundraising events throughout the year, where your volunteer help is greatly appreciated. During the holidays, we need extra hands on deck to wrap gifts for our Holiday Basket Program. For our Back to School and Bikes for Tykes drives, we need help with distribution. We also need help for our USPS Stamp out Hunger event.

Community service work

Do you need to complete community service work for legal reasons or as part of a school project? Davis Street may be able to use your assistance. Please call Emile Awwad at (510) 347-4620, extension 119.
