Training and Outreach Coordinator (Adult Disability Program)

Job Description

The Training and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for training, community outreach and assistance with administrative functions. The Coordinator also acts as a back-up when the Disabilities Program Manager is out of the office.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, create materials and perform outreach activities for the Disabilities program
  • Utilize excellent communication skills while interacting with individuals and with large crowds
  • Deliver training content and services with confidence and professionalism. Customize content and materials according to the audience, location, and time allocated
  • Use the required equipment to develop and perform assigned tasks (laptop, HDMI connections, USB drives, overhead projectors, Zoom, etc.)
  • Perform consumer services which include incoming client referrals, assessment and placement, coordination of services, job coach assignments, monitor staff caseloads, and coordination and feedback with case managers
  • Work with the Regional Center of the Easy Bay system regarding program compliance and oversight
  • Perform administrative duties such as completion of required program paperwork
  • Assist with compliance/CARF, ensuring all appropriate documents are completed, signed, and filed in consumer charts
  • Act as the back-up person when the Disabilities Program Manager is out of the office.
  • Update department forms, files and records
  • Other duties as assigned to support program and organization needs

Requirements

  • AA degree, certificate or related experience
  • Experience training, presenting and interacting with individuals and large groups
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and equipment skills with proficiency in Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organized and detail oriented with strong administrative and problem-solving skills
  • Professionalism, outgoing personality, reliable and punctual
  • Current California driver’s license and good driving record
